Leadership Programs

Faculty Fellows Leadership Program - is offered to selected mid-level faculty members on track to become high-level leaders. The goals of the program are to build community and to instill the skills and attitudes of leaders, including a commitment to the role of diversity in achieving excellence.

Physician/Faculty Leadership Development Program - Participants in the Physician/Faculty Leadership Development Program, jointly sponsored by the school of medicine and Stanford Hospital, learn the skills required to lead small divisions or sections within an academic medical center. Special attention is put on factors unique to the clinical domain, including managing finances, performance feedback, employee evaluation and strategies for affecting change.

Skills-Building Workshops

McCormick Faculty Award - The Office of Diversity and Leadership of the Stanford University School of Medicine invites applications for the 2008 McCormick Faculty Awards. The McCormick Funds were established to support the advancement of women in medicine and/or medical research directly, or by supporting the mentoring, training and encouragement of women pursuing the study of medicine, in teaching medicine, and engaging in medical research. Open to School of Medicine faculty in all tracks, including clinician educators. Not open to Instructors.

Mentoring - All junior faculty and clinician educators in the Department of Pathology are highly encouraged to meet with their mentor(s) at least once a year.
