Using genetic and genomic approaches to study the etiology of pediatric ITP (immune thrombocytopenia), identify prognostic molecular biomarkers for newly diagnosed ITP patients as well as predictive biomarkers for ITP patients receiving thrombopoietin agonist treatment; Using genetic and genomic tools to identify variants accounting for thrombosis associated with OCP; Designing and developing next-generation sequencing based molecular diagnostic tests.
